Despite Nick Sirianni's suggestion that Jalen Hurts was limited by injury, he is set to start against the Cowboys.
The Eagles' latest injury report did not include Hurt.
On Sunday, the Eagles' star quarterback will play in Arlington, Texas, against the Cowboys in a NFC East division game.
Although Jalen Hurts has been cleared for Week 10 and is expected to play, his status for Sunday was uncertain after he missed practice on Wednesday due to an unspecified ankle injury.
Sirianni quickly clarified that Hurts was granted a "rest day" and did not have an injury. When asked why Hurts was listed for rest despite not having any previous injuries, the Eagles coach explained, "Yeah, he was dealing with an ankle injury. We were cautious with everything."
Sirianni stated that Hurts' ankle injury was not the reason for his categorization as "rest" in the team's media relations staff's listing.
On Wednesday, Hurts was listed as a limited participant in practice and received the non-injury designation of rest. On Thursday and Friday, Hurts was listed as a full participant.
During the Eagles' Week 9 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, Hurts took a few extra moments to get off the grass after being sacked following a scramble. He did not enter the blue medical tent once he made it to the sidelines, and he did not exit the game.
On Wednesday, reporters observed that Kenny Pickett and Tanner McKee were participating in individual drills together during the portion of practice that was open to the public, but Hurts was not present.
This week, both A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith, the top wide receivers for Hurts, will be available despite their injuries. Brown has been recovering from a knee injury, while Smith is dealing with a hamstring issue.
The Cowboys' quarterback room is facing injury challenges, with Dak Prescott being ruled out of Sunday's game against the Eagles due to a hamstring injury sustained last week against the Atlanta Falcons.
Stephen Jones, the executive vice president of the Cowboys, confirmed on Friday that the team intends to place Prescott on injured reserve.
"Jones stated on 105.3 The Fan that he believes it is unlikely that the player will return within the four-week timeframe, so they will place him on the roster and use the resulting spot. However, they will continue to monitor the situation and determine the length of the player's absence, which could be four weeks, six weeks, or the entire season."
Cowboys backup QB Cooper Rush will handle the starting duties on Sunday.
