Rams vs Tyreek Hill with torn wrist ligament
Hill's status for Monday night's game was listed as questionable.
The reason behind Miami Dolphins star receiver Tyreek Hill's game-time decision for "Monday Night Football" has been revealed.
Lisa Salters of ESPN reports that Hill, who donned the uniform for the Dolphins game, is currently grappling with a torn ligament in his wrist.
Due to the injury, he missed two practices, leaving his availability uncertain for the Dolphins.
Miami head coach Mike McDaniel stated that if his body allows him, Hill will play in the game.
"Drew Rosenhaus, Tyreek Hill's agent, stated that the situation is internal between Hill, his family, the team, and himself during an appearance on WSVN. He added that Hill is focused on preparing for the game tomorrow night."
Hill has consistently pushed through injuries this season in an effort to play for the Dolphins, and his speed can greatly influence the outcome of a game.
The Dolphins, who are currently in last place in the AFC East with a 2-6 record, faced a crucial game. Another loss could eliminate them from playoff contention.
This season, Hill has been less productive than usual, with 34 passes for 446 yards and one receiving touchdown in eight games.
In Week 2 against the Buffalo Bills, the Dolphins' offense has been struggling since quarterback Tua Tagovailoa suffered a concussion.
Since Week 1, Hill had not been able to find the end zone until Monday night when he scored a one-yard catch from Tagovailoa in the third quarter, increasing the Dolphins' advantage over the Rams.
