On Monday, Hakeem Adeniji, an offensive tackle for the Cleveland Browns, posted a heartbreaking video on Instagram about the stillbirth of his son with his wife, Kayla.

They were expecting their son to be born earlier in November.

"Kayla couldn't feel Adeniji on Friday, despite feeling him earlier that morning. We went to the hospital for an ultrasound, but they didn't hear anything on her stomach."

Tears filled Adeniji's eyes as he declared, "It was the worst moment of my life."

"I can’t describe it to anyone," Adeniji said.

Adeniji posted another message about their stillborn son, expressing their thoughts on the tragic situation.

A week has passed since we lost our son, and the emotions that followed have been anger, sadness, and emptiness. The reality of his absence has set in, and nothing can change that. I won't get to witness him growing up, and he won't get to read the journal I wrote for him. I miss him every day and will for the rest of my life. Kayla and I want to remember him for the happy times he brought us and the tough moments he helped us overcome.

I want to be treated the same as before and not feel like people can't say certain things around me. I still love kids and want to be happy for my friends in their good moments. I know my little soldier is watching us and giving us strength.

"I will always strive to honor God and make him proud, even on days when it is challenging. This is the way of life."

Through this challenging period that he and his wife are experiencing, Adeniji expressed gratitude for everyone's prayers and support in his letter's conclusion.

The player selected in the sixth round from Kansas spent his first three seasons in the NFL with the Cincinnati Bengals before joining the Minnesota Vikings for four games in 2023.

Despite being on the Browns' roster, Adeniji has not yet played a regular-season game due to a knee injury that has kept him on the injured reserve.
