Rams suffer a 3-game losing streak as Dolphins snap their winning streak.
The Rams were constantly harassed by Miami's defense throughout the game.
The Miami Dolphins ended their three-game losing streak by defeating the Los Angeles Rams 23-15 in a "Monday Night Football" game.
The Dolphins, who were in 2nd to last place in the AFC East and seeking a win on the road at SoFi Stadium, managed to defeat the now 4-5 Rams squad on Monday night.
The Dolphins' offense, led by Tua Tagovailoa, executed their plan flawlessly on the opening drive, resulting in a touchdown.
In just five plays, Tagovailoa went 70 yards, culminating in a 18-yard run by Malik Washington for six points.
In the backfield, Tagovailoa pretended to pass the ball to Achane, but then gave it to Washington, who was running in the opposite direction.
The Dolphins' defense hindered Matthew Stafford and the Rams' offense, which had been performing well recently.
In its first five drives, the Rams experienced three punts and two turnovers, including an interception by Stafford and a fumble by Kyren Williams, before ultimately scoring a field goal.
Despite not being able to enter the end zone, the Rams still managed to score points through kicker Josh Karty's foot.
After scoring a touchdown on the opening drive, the Dolphins slowed down, but they eventually found the colored paint again, with Tyreek Hill getting in for the first time since Week 1.
Although Hill had a poor performance with only 16 yards on three catches, he made up for it with a one-yard touchdown catch on a great playcall. Hill initially appeared to be running for Achane, but Tagovailoa quickly pulled the ball and threw it to Hill, who caught it.
Jason Sanders' field goal in the fourth quarter effectively sealed Miami's victory, leaving the Rams struggling to keep up with only Karty's fifth field goal and an onside kick as their last chance for an overtime finish.
Miami secured another attempt from Los Angeles, resulting in another victory.
Tagovailoa and Stafford had contrasting performances in their respective games, with Tagovailoa completing 20 out of 28 passes for 207 yards, including a touchdown and an interception, while Stafford finished 23 out of 46 passes for 293 yards.
In the receiving department, Puka Nacua stood out with nine catches for 98 yards, while Cooper Kupp had seven receptions for 80 yards.
With just three catches, Jaylen Waddle had the most receiving yards for the Dolphins, totaling 57 yards, while Jonnu Smith had 45 yards.
