Jake Paul differs fundamentally from Mike Tyson.
Tyson and Paul face off on Friday night.
The highly anticipated battle between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson will take place in Texas this week, featuring a total of seven fights at AT&T Stadium.
Before the fight, Netflix released a documentary about Paul and Tyson preparing for the bout. In one clip, Paul can be seen calling out Tyson after he defeated Mike Perry in his last bout over the summer.
Tyson laughed as Paul declared himself the new face of the sport.
"In the documentary, Tyson stated that there is a significant distinction between him and Jake. According to Tyson, Jake is a product of television and newspaper portrayals, who was manufactured into a killer. In contrast, Tyson considers himself a natural-born killer."
The much-anticipated fight between Tyson and Paul will take place on Friday night. Although it was originally scheduled for July, the bout was postponed due to Tyson's medical episode. During this time, Paul defeated Perry in a knockout bout in Florida.
In July, "Iron Mike" Tyson, a 58-year-old with health concerns, announced why he wants to fight a 27-year-old Paul despite the risks.
Tyson stated in an interview with Esquire before his medical emergency that he is a "glory junkie" who loves being the center of attention. He prefers a short life of fame over a long life of obscurity, explaining that it is simply his nature.
"He later stated, "This is all I started fighting for - to obtain all this f***ing status. I will continue to chase it for the rest of my life. I know I won't achieve what I want because I am one of those who craves pain. I can never get enough.""
The preliminary card will start at 5:30 p.m. ET, followed by the main card at 8 p.m. ET, with Netflix broadcasting the fight.
