Jets' biggest challenge, according to Aaron Rodgers, is internal strife: "It’s us against us"
Since Robert Saleh's departure, the Jets have been 1-4.
The New York Jets have been experiencing a decline, and after losing to the Arizona Cardinals, Aaron Rodgers believes the main issue is the team itself.
On "The Pat McAfee Show," Rodgers stated that he believes the Jets' main challenge has been "us."
"The last three weeks have been the best practice sessions we've had, and I feel like the product has improved significantly. On offense, nobody felt confident that we would score six points," he stated.
"We frequently feel like we're pitted against ourselves in our efforts to be a dynamic offense. Despite our best efforts, we often sabotage ourselves, leading to failure."
The Jets' season, which started with Super Bowl hopes, is now on track for familiar territory: failure.
Robert Saleh was fired as head coach and offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett lost play-calling duties. Defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich was promoted to interim head coach and Todd Downing began calling offensive plays. However, the changes have not improved the team's performance, with some arguing they are even worse off.
The Jets are running out of options and chances to make a playoff run, but for Rodgers, the solution is clear.
"Often, success is determined by small actions. These small actions accumulate to achieve great results."
