This month, Tom Selleck and Donnie Wahlberg will both be featured in the show's 14th and final season.
Donnie Wahlberg and Tom Selleck share a father-son bond on the set of "Blue Bloods."
The longtime crime drama will premiere the first 10 episodes of its 14th and final season on February 16, with the remaining eight episodes airing in the fall.
In an interview with Planet Chronicle Digital, Wahlberg revealed that his relationship with Selleck has evolved beyond that of co-stars over the past 14 years of working together.
"Tom Selleck, also known as Dad, was initially taken aback by the nickname during the first few seasons. However, over time, we have grown closer."
Selleck has been referred to as "son" by Wahlberg, who revealed that he has become part of the father-son dynamic.

"Wahlberg stated, "He's literally like, ‘Oh, hey, son, how are you doing today?’" and added, "It's like we've just become a real family, and it's going to be a lot to not be with [them] anymore, but I'm sure we'll stay connected after the cameras aren't rolling.""
Over the last 14 years, Donnie and Tom have formed a close relationship, with Donnie telling Planet Chronicle Digital that the cast has become "a real family."
"Working with the crew in New York for 14 years has been an incredible experience, according to Wahlberg. The cast is like a family and it's a pleasure to work with them every day."
In "Blue Bloods," the dinner scenes were highly appreciated by viewers, as Wahlberg mentioned.
Donnie Wahlberg, star of 'Blue Bloods,' will miss the cast and crew the most after the show's final season.
"The dinner scenes that are significant to viewers are also meaningful to the cast, he stated. During weekly meetings with the cast, it feels like a family gathering, where they discuss their personal lives and the events happening in the world, and the show's cast gets to do the same."
It's difficult for Wahlberg to comprehend not working with the cast and crew of "Blue Bloods" anymore.
Donnie expressed that the thought of not working with the people he has been with for a long time would be difficult for him, as they have been through a lot together.
He continued, "I'm really enjoying the ride and trying not to get emotionally involved."
Selleck's work environment with Wahlberg was described by him to Planet Chronicle Digital.
"Tom Selleck is one of the few individuals in television history who have had two long-running, majorly successful television shows."
Tom Selleck first starred in "Magnum, P.I." and won a Golden Globe and an Emmy Award for his role as Thomas Magnum for eight seasons. The drama series aired from 1980 to 1988. Currently, he plays Frank Reagan, the New York police commissioner, in all 14 seasons of "Blue Bloods."
The show "Blue Bloods" premiered in September 2010, featuring Mark Wahlberg and Don Johnson alongside the cast, which includes Will Estes, Bridget Moynahan, Andrew Terraciano, and Abigail Hawk.
