Tackle football left Kristin Cavallari in tears.
Jay Cutler and Kristin Cavallari, the stars of 'Laguna Beach', share a 12-year-old son.
After her 12-year-old son was tackled in football, Kristin Cavallari opened up about her emotions.
On her "Let's Be Honest" podcast, Cavallari, 37, stated that she did not intend to cry, as she had planned to provide a life update. She believed she had resolved the issue.
"Camden, my oldest child, has been playing tackle football for middle school, and it has been an emotional experience. I cried before his first game, feeling overwhelmed with emotion. I was holding back tears as I watched him play, thinking, "I just don't want you to get hurt.""
She said her son, who shares him with ex-husband and NFL alum Jay Cutler, attempted to reassure his mother and explained, "I've got all these pads, so even if I get hit, I'm going to be okay."
After her son's third football game, things took a turn for the worse, said the "The Hills" alum.
He was hit and flew through the air, landing hard. As a mom, I knew he was terrified after that first hit, and it made me even more upset.
"The thought of him being scared out there is unbearable. That was one of the hardest things I had to endure."
She acknowledged that football and other sports have numerous benefits for young boys, but she confessed that she is unsure how to manage it.
"He got hit, and he went flying… he fell really hard. And I just knew as a mom how scared he was after that first hit." — Kristin Cavallari

"As moms, all we want is to safeguard our little ones from the harsh realities of the world, where they face physical harm and adversity."
In April 2020, after seven years of marriage, Cutler filed for divorce from Cavallari. The couple have three children: Camden, 12, Jaxon, 10, and Saylor, 8.
Her divorce gave her a positive outlook, which she previously attributed to her three children.
"Becoming the best version of myself is important to me because I want to be the best mother I can be to my kids," she said on "The School of Greatness" podcast. "I believe that I can only give my kids the best if I am filled with love and energy for myself. Therefore, I strive to be the best version of myself so that I can love and support my kids to the fullest."
Mark Estes, a member of the TikTok group Montana Boyz, is currently in a new relationship with Cavallari.
