Harrison Ford, co-star of '1923' with Helen Mirren, shares 'bada--' ways they prepared for 'Yellowstone' prequel.
Brandon Sklenar, along with Ford and Mirren, attended "cowboy camp" for the upcoming "Yellowstone" spin-off.
Brandon Sklenar, who starred in "1923," is eager to collaborate with Helen Mirren and Harrison Ford on the "Yellowstone" prequel.
Sklenar revealed to Planet Chronicle Digital on the Golden Globes red carpet that although he has spent time with two stars at "cowboy camp," he has not yet had the opportunity to film scenes with them.
Sklenar noted that in the last eight episodes, we will start.
Brandon recalled Helen being "inspiring" during the "cowboy camp" that Sklenar attended with Mirren and Ford.
"Sklenar observed that Helen was with us in camp, while Harrison did his own thing and brought his own saddle. Additionally, Ford arrived on his "own helicopter.""
Brandon Sklenar, who stars in '1923,' shares how Harrison Ford prepared for the 'Yellowstone' spin-off in a 'bada--' way.
"The guy's just a bada--," Brandon said.
Sklenar's biggest takeaway from the cowboy experience was demonstrated by Mirren.
"He remarked, "She's always so grounded, with no inflated sense of self. Witnessing this has been inspiring. It's the way to do it … staying salty.""
Sklenar's experience filming "1923" was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. According to him, one of the standout aspects of the series was the diverse filming locations used.
"Sklenar, who portrays Spencer Dutton, stated, "I doubt I'll ever have an experience like that again. We were in Africa, Kenya, Malta, shot in Salt Lake, Montana, and even if I do a film on that scale again, it's rare to visit those locations.""
"If Taylor Sheridan writes that's where you are, then that's where you go, and he sends you there, and he throws you into the wolves," he continued.
Sklenar does not have any insider information about the next "Yellowstone" spin-off series.
"Over there, they run a tight ship," he remarked. "It's exciting because we don't know what's going to happen until it happens."
In February 2023, Paramount+ announced that "1923" would return for a second season. In the series, Ford portrays an ancestor of John Dutton, played by Kevin Costner in "Yellowstone." Mirren stars as Ford's wife, Cara Dutton.
The Dutton family is the focus of a show created by Taylor Sheridan, which examines the challenges of the early 20th century, including western expansion, Prohibition, and the Great Depression.
The show also features Isabel May, Julia Schlaepfer, and Michelle Randolph, in addition to Sklenar, Ford, and Mirren.
Ford previously stated to Planet Chronicle Digital that Taylor Sheridan is one of the most exceptional talents of our current era and he enjoys working with him.
In 2023, on CBS' "The Late Show," Harrison Ford, the star of "Blade Runner," admitted that he still finds Mirren attractive.
Dame Helen Mirren's acting skills in the "Yellowstone" prequel were praised by Ford, who said, "It's been remarkable to watch her. There's a lot of physical action, and she just jumps right in and does stuff you don't imagine Helen Mirren would do."
