During this season, many college football players will announce their intention to enter the NFL Draft.

Many players will express their gratitude for their college experience and their anticipation for what the future holds in the NFL.

Drew Fowler, a linebacker at the University of Washington, declared that he would not be joining the NFL.

In 2019, when I first joined UW, I discussed taking the 'road less traveled.' Little did I know what that would truly entail. Over the course of four head coaches, three athletic directors, four coordinators, and a global pandemic, my time at UW has been nothing short of extraordinary.

Fowler thanked his coaches, academic advisors, athletic trainers, teammates, and everyone else who helped him, before ending his statement with a curveball.

"I am officially declaring myself available for employment. In other words, I need a job. If you know of any employment opportunities, I am your guy. I am gritty, hardworking, sneaky athletic, and a locker room guy. I will bring my lunch pail to work," Fowler wrote.

"My LinkedIn is updated, and I am #OpenToWork."

"Thank you, Husky Nation."

In the Sun Bowl on Tuesday, Louisville defeated Washington 35-34, concluding Fowler's college football career.

In his career, Fowler played for five years with Washington and had a total of 42 tackles, including one tackle for loss.

Now he will look to take his talents to the job market.
