Travis Kelce's lackluster start frustrates Jason Kelce, who passionately defends him.
Through Week 3, Travis Kelce has 8 catches for 69 yards but has not yet reached the end zone.
This week, Jason Kelce, a former Philadelphia Eagles center, became emotional while defending his younger brother Travis Kelce, who is facing criticism for his poor performance as a Kansas City Chiefs star through Week 3.
In the most recent episode of the "New Heights" podcast, the Kelce brothers talked about Travis' sluggish performance at the beginning of the season, despite the Chiefs' perfect record.
Travis stated that he is not focused on achieving targets and all the associated tasks. Instead, he wants to have a successful offense, and he believes Pat is doing an excellent job of identifying open players and making sound decisions. However, they need to continue finding ways to succeed as they are still learning how to work together with the new offense, players, and pieces.
"Throughout the season, you will encounter ups and downs as an offense, and it is crucial to rectify any mistakes to ensure effective communication. Coach Reid and Pat Mahomes excel in this area."
Jason expressed optimism that his brother would improve, becoming emotional while discussing his brother's dedication.
If you continue to be the same person you've always been, it's going to go your way," Jason said. "No one has ever loved being out there with Trav more, and it's frustrating for me to watch and listen to.
"I can't wait for it to turn."
Some sports media personalities have criticized Travis' slow start this season, linking it to his relationship with Taylor Swift. Despite having eight catches for 69 yards, he has yet to score a touchdown.
