Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs criticizes the glare at AT&T Stadium, understanding the frustration of Cowboys star.
The glare caused problems for CeeDee Lamb during the Cowboys' 34-6 defeat.
On Sunday, CeeDee Lamb, a wide receiver for the Dallas Cowboys, missed a potential touchdown pass during a 34-6 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.
"I couldn't see the ball at all during the game, as the sun was too bright," Lamb stated.
Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce empathizes with Lamb.
"I’m not going to lie, I had that problem before when playing in that stadium. The glare coming through the end zone in the afternoon is ridiculous. It’s like the glass makes it seem more spread out," Kelce said on "New Heights."
"The sun appears to be larger and brighter than ever before. While I understand the sentiment, it's important not to let it serve as an excuse. Nonetheless, wow, that's incredible! I can see why he feels that way."
The glare of the sun astonished Travis and brother Jason Kelce as they examined some photos from the game.
"That sun is incredibly aggressive at that time of day, coming through the window. It's surprising they don't have shades or something," Jason remarked.
Travis exclaimed, "Why is that dude so bright? What the f---?" while laughing.
Lamb stated that he believes the Cowboys should install curtains with a 100% certainty.
Despite the disagreement of his star receiver, team owner Jerry Jones was against installing curtains.
Jones exclaimed, "Tearing down the stadium and building another one? Are you kidding me? The world knows where the sun is, and we get to know that almost a year in advance. Someone asked me about the sun. Where's the moon?"
Travis was in disbelief after hearing Jones’ response.
"What the heck is Jerry talking about?" Travis exclaimed, bursting out in laughter.
Travis said, 'Listen, I hear him on, where the sun is,'
The tight end proposed that the Cowboys utilize the sun's glare to their benefit.
"If you know that the other team will have to deal with the sun in an afternoon game, you can make them face it."
To gain an edge, the Cowboys must act quickly. Currently, they are 3-6 and have lost four games in a row.
After deciding to undergo surgery for a torn hamstring, quarterback Dak Prescott will be out of action for the rest of the season.
The Cowboys will rely on backup quarterback Cooper Rush to steer them towards victory against the Houston Texans on Monday night.
