The NFL legend believes that Deion Sanders should be the top choice for the Cowboys as their head coach.
The possibility of coaching the Cowboys was found intriguing by Sanders.
Earlier this week, the NFL world was abuzz with speculation about Deion Sanders becoming the next head coach of the Dallas Cowboys after the team fired Mike McCarthy.
Drew Pearson, a Pro Football Hall of Famer and former Cowboys star, endorsed Coach Prime's return to the NFL to coach the team he led to a Super Bowl victory in the 1990s.
Pearson stated to TMZ Sports that he believes he is capable and has the qualifications to do it. He has proven his abilities through his experience and hard work, having come through the ranks and paid his dues.
"He has achieved success as a coach at both the high school and college levels, so why can't he be successful in the pros? I believe he should be the top pick for the Dallas Cowboys as their coach."
Sanders has expressed interest in coaching the Cowboys, but only if he can coach his sons in the NFL.
He affirmed that he conversed with Jerry Jones about the job, but he did not explicitly state that he would not be interested in coaching the Cowboys.
"Sanders found it delightful to hear from Jerry Jones and found it intriguing to learn more about him. Despite the initial intrigue, Sanders ultimately realized that he loved Boulder and everything about his team, coaches, student body, and community."
