The NFL has created a backup plan in case the wildfires in California affect the upcoming Los Angeles Rams-Minnesota Vikings wild-card game on Monday.
The Rams, seeded No. 4, are set to host the No. 5 Vikings at SoFi Stadium, but there's a high possibility that the Inglewood venue will not be utilized due to the ongoing wildfires in the area.
The NFL announced that the Rams-Vikings game will take place at SoFi Stadium on Monday night as planned. If the stadium is unavailable, the game will be relocated to a different venue.
The Arizona Cardinals' home stadium, State Farm Stadium in Glendale, will serve as a backup location for the wild-card game if needed.

Earlier Wednesday, the league released a statement indicating that it was keeping a watchful eye on the unfolding events.
Despite having a scheduled off day on Wednesday, the Los Angeles Chargers, who share SoFi Stadium and are heading to Houston for their own wild-card game on Saturday, restricted players' time outside during practice due to poor air quality.
On Wednesday afternoon, the air quality index in Inglewood reached 281, which is considered unhealthy as it exceeds the threshold of 150.
The number of evacuation orders for three major fires burning from the Pacific coast to Pasadena is at least 70,000, with officials stating that the figure may change as the fires continue to rage.
The Rams announced on Wednesday that no players or staff members have been affected by the fires, but the team is closely monitoring the situation.
The Rams expressed their support for those affected by the Eaton Fire in the Altadena/Pasadena area and the first responders working to protect the community. They urged everyone to stay safe.
X was flooded with posts from Rams star receivers Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp, expressing support for the community.
