The AFC divisional round matchup between the Ravens and Bills is expected to face freezing temperatures and potential snowfall.
By Sunday night, temperatures may fall to single digits before the kickoff.
This weekend, the NFL's divisional round matchups feature the Buffalo Bills and the Baltimore Ravens. However, the game will be more challenging due to the forecast of cold temperatures and winter weather conditions around kickoff.
When the Ravens arrive at Highmark Stadium in Buffalo for their game against the Bills at 6:30 p.m., they can expect a chilly welcome.
An arctic blast is expected to hit the area early Sunday morning and last throughout next week, with freezing temperatures in the mid-teens and snow expected throughout the game, according to FOX Weather.
The National Weather Service in Buffalo predicts that the wind chill could drop to single digits by kickoff, marking the start of a cold front that is expected to become even colder in the coming days.
The Ravens appear hopeful regarding their prospects during winter, despite the Bills' familiarity with such conditions.
According to Baltimore head coach John Harbaugh, operating under duress is a reality for both the offense and the opponent, with the noise being a significant factor.
"However, that's a two-way street. Our defense must also operate in the same manner, requiring communication and dealing with noise, just like the other group."
Marlon Humphrey, the cornerback of the Ravens, stated that he is eagerly anticipating the snow and believes that it will not be significantly different from the cold temperatures in Baltimore.
The MVP favorites, Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen, will add an extra level of excitement to Sunday's game.
The Ravens, who had earlier struggled to stop Derrick Henry, ran for 199 yards, including an explosive 87-yard touchdown run in their 35-10 win over the Bills. However, the Ravens are not far removed from the heartbreak of a 2020 divisional round loss to Buffalo.
