The surprise appearance of Caitlin Clark alongside Taylor Swift at the Kansas City Chiefs' playoff game on Saturday was met with excitement from many fans, but also with dread from some.

The sight of Clark and Swift in a suite together after Swift invited Clark months ago brought happiness to some fans.

The constant broadcast shots of Swift during Chiefs games have been a source of frustration for many fans, especially since she first started appearing to support Travis Kelce last season. Now, with Clark joining in, some fans are finding it even more difficult to focus on the game.

In her interview with Time magazine, Clark stated, "Being White comes with privilege."

Some fans who watched the WNBA game on Saturday were unhappy with Taylor Swift's past endorsement of Kamala Harris and other Democrats, which sparked criticism.

In her interview with Time, Clark, a lifelong Chiefs fan, revealed that Swift and Kelce invited her to attend a Swift Eras Tour concert at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis in early November.

Recently, Clark was photographed alongside Swift on the cover of Time magazine's Inspiring Women special edition issue, which was published at the end of October.

In September 2023, Swift went public with her relationship with Kansas City Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce, and Clark congratulated her.

"Clark wrote on X on Sept. 24, 2023, welcoming Taylor Swift to the good side with the hashtag #Chiefs Kingdom."
