Simone Biles admits that her diamond-studded GOAT necklace is "offensive" to some people.
A seven-time Olympic gold medalist, Biles is a renowned gymnast.
In recent years, Simone Biles has become widely recognized as an exceptional athlete.
This summer in Paris, the American gymnast won three more Olympic gold medals, adding to her already impressive resume. Additionally, she debuted a necklace with a "GOAT" charm at the Summer Games.
Biles' subtly weighing in on the debate over her status as the greatest gymnast of all time caused ripples among fellow athletes and fans.
This week, the 27-year-old was a guest on the "Tonight Show" and during her conversation with host Jimmy Fallon, she was asked about her thoughts on the GOAT title.
"The GOAT is you, as the talk show host and comedian stated."
Her detractors are also reminded by being referred to as the GOAT.
Biles told Fallon that she finds it amusing to play off the criticism from haters who claim she's not the GOAT (greatest of all time). Despite her fans' love and support, she believes it's important to address the negativity and prove her worth as the best gymnast in the world.
"So, it makes people happy but then annoys them," she said.
The jeweler who made Biles' necklace vowed never to replicate it, posing a significant challenge for anyone seeking a replica.
"Janet Heller of Janet Heller Fine Jewelry stated in People last month that the goat necklace she created for Simone is exclusive and unique, just like Simone herself."
The creation of Biles' unique piece of jewelry required almost eight weeks and included 546 diamonds.
"The jeweler explained that they hand drilled and set each of the 546 diamonds, making it a labor-intensive and time-consuming task. However, they have the most skilled bench jewelers and master craftsmen who executed it flawlessly."
