On Monday, Scottie Scheffler withdrew from The American Express tournament again, this time due to injury, marking his second consecutive missed tournament.

On Christmas, Scheffler, 28, sustained a glass puncture in his right hand and later underwent minor surgery to repair it.

The PGA Tour season at The Sentry in Hawaii was missed by the world's No. 1 player due to an injury sustained while preparing for Christmas dinner.

I have decided to withdraw from next week's American Express tournament to give my injury more time to heal after consulting with my medical team, as stated in an Instagram post by Scheffler.

The AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, starting Jan. 30, is where Scheffler hopes to make his 2025 PGA Tour debut.

An American golfer who had a historic season where he won nine times worldwide is the star.

Scheffler won seven PGA Tour titles and a second Masters title in his career. He also represented the United States at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games and won a gold medal after a late surge.

Since Tiger Woods won PGA Tour player of the year in three consecutive seasons from 2005 to 2007, no player has achieved this feat until the one who had a strong showing in 2024.

Since 2009, Scheffler has been the first player to maintain the No. 1 ranking for a full year, following in Woods' footsteps.

In the 2024 season, Scheffler won $25 million for winning the FedEx Cup, bringing his total prize money to over $54 million, surpassing all other competitors.

The Palm Desert, California tournament, scheduled for Jan. 16-19, is an American Express event.
