At the 2024 Paris Olympics, Ryan Crouser made history by becoming the first three-time gold medalist in the men's shot put, an achievement he accomplished in three consecutive Olympic Games.

But for Crouser, the journey isn’t over.

In an interview with Planet Chronicle Digital, the American shot put champion recounted the memorable moment in Paris, stating that this medal was his most cherished because it marked his first Olympics where he was able to truly appreciate the experience.

"Being present in Paris was a significant part of my victory. It allowed me to fully appreciate the experience and let go of the pressure I felt in Tokyo. In Paris, I felt more free to enjoy the event without the weight of expectation."

Qualifying for the Summer Games was an accomplishment for Crouser, given his uncertain path that involved an elbow injury and a pectoral muscle injury.

"I believe that the adversity I faced earlier in the year, due to injuries, and my personal growth later in my athletic career contributed to my ability to focus on the positive aspects of the Olympics. This is a sign of growth for me as an individual, and I am proud of it."

Courser won the gold medal in men's shot put at the Olympics for the third time in a row, setting a new world record with a throw of 22.90 meters. This victory makes him the most decorated shot putter in Olympic history, surpassing the previous record holders Parry O'Brien, Ralph Rose, and Tomasz Majewski.

There's a possibility that Crouser can surpass his current record at the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles, and he hopes to participate.

"The 31-year-old said that L.A. is his ultimate dream, even though it's a year or two later than what would be logical if it wasn't an American Olympic Games. The chance to retire on American soil is too tempting to pass up, and he thinks it would be a dream come true to retire with a gold in L.A. However, he would be happy with just making the team."

The veteran shot putter, Crouser, is focused on his training and recovery with four years standing between him and his next gold medal. Supplements play a role in that.

For several years, he has been associated with Thorne, a health and wellness company, and discussed with Planet Chronicle Digital the significance of using supplements that meet competition standards during training and recovery.

"I am subjected to drug testing in competition and out of competition up to 30-40 times a year. As a result, I prioritize what I put into my body and only consume supplements that have undergone third-party testing to the highest standards," he stated.

"What drew me to Thorne initially and has made our partnership successful is their commitment to product quality, which aligns with my own dedication to training and focus. This shared level of commitment ensures that I can train at my best, knowing that the products I use are exactly what's on the label."
