Patrick Mahomes, the Chiefs' quarterback, acknowledges that he is content with having three children following the birth of his latest child.
Earlier this week, the Mahomes family welcomed their third child.
Earlier this week, Patrick Mahomes and his wife Brittany welcomed their third child, a girl named Golden Raye, into the world.
The third child for the Mahomes family, the quarterback discussed the possibility of having more children.
"He stated that he was content with three for the time being, but they may reconsider adding more in the future. His ultimate goal was always three, so they would remain at that number for now and evaluate the need for more later."
Brittany's newborn has joined the family, which already has two children - Bronze and Sterling. Mahomes discussed how the family is coping with the arrival of the newborn, particularly how the other siblings are handling it.
"It's been cool to welcome another baby girl into our family and see how my other kids react to her and having a baby sissy. It's been a lot of fun, and it was cool that football was on TV when I was in the hospital, so I got to watch a little bit. Brittany was kind enough to let us watch football as she was getting ready to give birth to our second daughter."
Mahomes stated that he couldn't determine if managing the children at home has become easier since Brittany has been handling the workload.
I don't want to say it because Brittany is doing everything, so I'm just trying to be supportive," he said. "It was cool that we got the bye just because you can really focus in on being at the hospital and being in the moment.
"I am glad I was able to be there and support in the best way I could during a special moment that many dads and moms have experienced, which is something that is not easily forgotten."
Mahomes must now concentrate on defeating the Houston Texans and advancing to the AFC Championship for the seventh consecutive time.
