Patrick and Brittany Mahomes welcome their third child, and Andy Reid shares parenting advice.
On Monday, the Mahomes family welcomed their third child into the world.
Andy Reid, the head coach of the Kansas City Chiefs, is not only knowledgeable in football but also in fatherhood.
Patrick and Brittany Mahomes welcomed their third child, Golden Raye, into the world on Sunday, Jan. 12. She is their second daughter.
They also have a 2-year-old son named Patrick Lavon III, nicknamed Bronze.
While Mahomes is content with the size of his family "for right now," Reid offered a different perspective when discussing the matter.
"Reid stated that he believes the veteran quarterback excels at fatherhood. He added, "Patrick was Patrick 2pm when he arrived, but now he's Patrick 3pm.""
For Reid, having more children means more fun.
"After mastering three, four and five will be a breeze. I assured him of this," Reid said confidently. "With three under your belt, a few more and we'll discuss."
However, the focus now for Mahomes is certainly on the playoffs.
On Saturday, the Chiefs will host the Houston Texans in the divisional round at Arrowhead Stadium, with the goal of winning their third consecutive championship.
"Mahomes stated that every year is unique and special, regardless of whether they win three in a row or not. He emphasized the importance of creating memorable experiences with teammates and the community. Looking back on past Super Bowl victories, Mahomes cherished the special moments and games that made those experiences unforgettable. As such, they will strive to create more special memories this year."
The Chiefs are well-rested for Saturday's game as they enter it as the No. 1 seed after securing a bye.
