On Christmas Day in California, a former Oregon Ducks wide receiver, Ryan Pellum, was arrested for allegedly assaulting a person with a firearm.
Ryan Tristan Chance Taylor, also known as Pellum, was arrested in Springfield for an incident that occurred in Long Beach, California. Despite this, the school refused to comment on the matter because he was no longer a member of the football program.
The paper reported that Pellum was accused of hitting a person with a 9 mm pistol and the alleged victim needed stitches from the incident.
Officials arrested him, and The Register-Guard reported that he was aware of the warrant for his arrest.
In June 2023, Pellum, a four-star recruit from Long Beach Millikan, went viral for using his son to decide which school he would attend. Initially, he committed to USC but later switched his decision.
In 2024, he played four games for the Ducks before deciding to enter the transfer portal. He made one punt return for Oregon on special teams.
Don Pellum's nephew, who is a former Oregon Ducks linebacker and defensive coordinator, decided to use his last name instead of his given name when playing football, as reported by The Oregonian.
