The 2025 NFL Draft quarterback class may include one more big name.

After the 2023 season, Quinn Ewers contemplated departing from Texas but ultimately decided to remain in order to accumulate additional experience.

In an interview with ESPN's Pete Thamel before the Cotton Bowl, Ewers stated that he did not expect to play college football the following year.

Ewers has not officially declared for the draft, as a recent report stated that he has a $6 million NIL offer from another school to play there in 2025.

The Cotton Bowl Classic pits Evers and his Texas Longhorns against the Ohio State Buckeyes, with the victor advancing to face Notre Dame in the national championship on January 20.

Despite playing in one more game this season, Ewers has thrown nearly 300 fewer passing yards and has thrown five more interceptions. He's thrown 29 touchdowns compared to 22 last season.

Ewers' injury caused him to miss some time, but Arch Manning stepped in seamlessly. Although Manning has been more active with Ewers present, he has primarily been used as a runner.

Ewers' 37th collegiate game is the Cotton Bowl Classic, but with Manning's commitment to Texas and his emergence this year, some believe head coach Steve Sarkisian has given his junior quarterback more freedom.

Ewers is currently leading the charge for the school's potential first championship since 2006.

Last year, Washington defeated the Longhorns in a College Football Playoff semifinal, and later lost to Michigan in the national championship.
