Kelly Stafford expresses disbelief over the devastation caused by California wildfires: "It doesn't feel real."
The Rams' Monday night game has a backup plan from the NFL.
Matthew Stafford's wife, Kelly, is hoping for calm weather as the deadly wildfires in Los Angeles persist and ravage Southern California.
Kelly posted an aerial photo of the devastating wildfires that ravaged the Pacific Palisades coastal neighborhood on her Instagram story on Thursday.
Kelly was taken aback by the destruction of the once-charming neighborhood caused by wildfires.
"She wrote in a post that she was repeatedly watching the video because it appeared unreal. Despite the firefighters working tirelessly around the clock, the fires continued to burn fiercely. She prayed for slower winds and safety."
At least five people have died and thousands of California residents have been displaced after wildfires fueled by strong Santa Ana winds ravaged Southern California starting on Tuesday. The fires have burned over 27,000 acres by Thursday.
The Rams' scheduled wild-card game against the Minnesota Vikings on Monday night at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood may be moved to a different venue if the stadium is unavailable. The NFL is monitoring the situation.
"The NFL prioritizes the safety of the Los Angeles community, the league stated. We appreciate the hard work of first responders. Our thoughts are with Los Angeles and all those affected by the fires."
The wild-card game will be held at State Farm Stadium, the home of the Arizona Cardinals in Glendale, as a backup location.
