On Sunday afternoon, during the wild-card playoff game between the Buffalo Bills and Denver Broncos, a holding penalty was committed, but NFL officials failed to notice it.

Despite attempting to score on third down, Bills quarterback Josh Allen suffered a sack because his receivers were covered. However, a replay revealed that Broncos defensive back Patrick Surtain II was holding onto Bills tight end Dalton Kincaid during the play.

Bill Vinovich, the head referee, went to the Bills’ bench to speak with Allen after a missed penalty.

After the game, Allen admitted that he was unhappy with what was happening and was yelling a bit. He apologized for his behavior when his teammate told him not to yell, saying 'Don't be yelling.' Allen acknowledged that he made a mistake.

Luckily, the missed call did not affect the game too much.

With 272 yards and two touchdown passes, Allen was 20-of-26. James Cook ran for 120 yards and a touchdown. Buffalo won the game, 31-7.

"We just wanted to come out and play our best football, and I feel like we did that today," Allen said. "I don’t think there was one certain thing over another."

The Bills have made it to the divisional round for the fifth consecutive season and will face off against the Baltimore Ravens in a highly anticipated matchup between two NFL MVP favorites, Allen and Lamar Jackson.

"So, it's been anticipated by everyone, and it's going to be a great week, right?" McDermott said. "Their football team is excellent, and they played us well in the first game. They're definitely doing well."
