On Tuesday, John Daly, a golfer, posted on Instagram that he underwent emergency surgery on his hand.
"Doc McClimans took care of me during my emergency hand surgery, and I'm grateful that it went great. I'll be back playing in no time!" Daly posted.
Daly thanked Doc McClimans for fixing him and expressed his intention to hit him again soon in a separate post. He also thanked everyone who sent messages.
In Tampa, Florida, Daly was lying in a hospital bed.
Known for his appearance and attitude on the golf course, Daly, 58, is a fan favorite.
Daly is known for his colorful outfits on the golf course, where he is often seen smoking a cigarette. In a past interview, he admitted to hating water and revealed that he used to consume 12 to 20 Diet Cokes daily to replace it.
Daly, who received a golf scholarship at the University of Arkansas and qualified for the 1986 U.S. Open as an amateur, turned pro in 1987 and joined the PGA Tour in 1991.
Daly has won two major championships and five PGA Tour victories in his career.
In 1991, Daly won the PGA Championship and in 1995 he won the British Open. His last win on the PGA Tour was at the Buick Invitational in 2004.
John Daly II and his father, Daly, won the 2021 PNC "Father and Son" Championship.
Daly has won events in South Africa, Swaziland, Scotland, Germany, South Korea, Turkey, and Canada during his international career.
According to the PGA Tour website, Daly has amassed nearly $13 million in career winnings.
