Jerry Jones, owner of the Cowboys, reveals that raccoons and squirrels are among his dietary preferences.
Raccoon consumption is 'quite common', according to Jones' suggestion.
Jerry Jones, the longtime owner of the Dallas Cowboys, is often seen speaking in front of a microphone. Despite being a billionaire, he is not afraid to share his opinions on his football team. However, he sometimes discusses other topics.
During a recent radio interview on 105.3 The Fan in Dallas, Jones disclosed an unusual revelation: he enjoys eating raccoons and squirrels.
Xavier Legette's name sparked a discussion about cuisine preferences, which led to Jones sharing his past experiences with raccoons and squirrels.
Earlier this month, during an appearance on the "St. Brown Podcast," Legette admitted to consuming raccoons in the past.
"Jones acknowledged that he has consumed a significant amount of raccoon, possibly implying that it aligns with Legette's dietary choices. He confirmed that he has eaten it both while hunting and had it served by his mother at the dinner table separate from hunting. Notably, he mentioned that this is a common occurrence."
Jones remembered family discussions about eating squirrel parts, sparked by the animal's presence.
"Squirrel is one of my favorites, and my mother could do a great job of preparing it. We all had our favorite pieces, and my mom and I would even ask for the brain in a squirrel. Delicious. Seriously."
The Buccaneers, leading the NFC South, host the Cowboys in Week 16 with a 6-8 record.
