In an interview with the Los Angeles Times prior to the NFC Divisional Round game on Sunday, Verse expressed his candid thoughts about the Philadelphia fan base.
Verse, who spent three years in high school in Pennsylvania, told the outlet that he hates Eagles fans.
"Eagles fans are so annoying, I hate them," he continued.
The Rams star rookie will react to the Eagles team colors.
"Seeing green and white makes me feel upset and angry, to the point where I physically get hot."
The Eagles fans are hoping Verse will channel his anger towards the Rams when he is on the field, as the team is traveling to Philadelphia to try and upset the Eagles.
In Week 12, the Eagles and running back Saquon Barkley dominated the two teams that faced off in Los Angeles.
The Eagles emerged victorious in the matchup with a final score of 37-20. Barkley had an impressive performance, racking up 302 scrimmage yards, including 255 rushing yards and two touchdowns.
Despite wearing headphones, he heard heckling Eagles fans even though the game was in Los Angeles.
Verse said, "I didn't do anything to them. It was my first time playing. Oh, I hate Eagles fans."
If Verse plays as well as he did in the Rams' 27-9 victory over the Minnesota Vikings on Monday, Eagles' fans might return their hatred for him.
Sam Darnold's fumble was recovered by Verse and taken for a 57-yard touchdown.
Verse's impressive performance in the regular season has made him a top contender for the Defensive Rookie of the Year award. With 4.5 sacks and 66 total tackles, Verse was also named to the Pro Bowl.
On Sunday at 3 p.m. ET, the Eagles are hosting the Rams, and the rookie is guaranteed to experience the raucous atmosphere of Eagles fans.
