Jalen Hurts, the Eagles' quarterback who is recovering from a concussion, takes a step forward in his potential return for the playoffs.
Jalen Hurts has sat out the previous two contests.
The Eagles aspire to win the Super Bowl, but they are highly dependent on their franchise quarterback to achieve this goal.
Jalen Hurts sustained a concussion a few weeks ago, causing Birds fans to collectively hold their breath.
The head injury caused Hurts to miss the final two games of the season, as he was still in concussion protocol and the Eagles had already rested many starters in their season finale against the New York Giants.
On Wednesday, Philly hit the practice field for the first time since his injury.
During the game, it was observed that Hurts was not wearing a helmet while throwing, which prevented him from logging a full participation. However, this was a positive step forward compared to the biggest game of the season.
The Eagles secured the No. 2 seed in the NFC after winning the East with a 14-3 record. However, they face a challenging opponent in their next game.
The Green Bay Packers, who are the seventh seed for the second year in a row, will host the Cowboys in Dallas. Despite not stopping them from beating the Cowboys last year, the Packers have much more experience this year with an 11-6 record.
Despite Hurts getting injured in one of their games, Philly still won both contests this year.
The Birds have an extra day to clear Hurts before their game on Sunday, as two games will be played on Saturday.
In 2021, Hurts ran for 2,903 yards, the lowest since he became a full-time starter. Despite this, he ran for 14 touchdowns thanks to the unstoppable Brotherly Shove. Additionally, his five interceptions were the lowest of his career.
