On Sunday, NFL broadcaster Kevin Harlan gained another viral moment by calling a game between the Minnesota Vikings and San Francisco 49ers.

In the fourth quarter, Harlan directed analyst Nate Burleson in the CBS studios to provide an update on some league action. However, there was an issue as Burleson was heard on the broadcast saying, "I can’t hear anything."

Harlan, although he could hear the update, took over and gave a play-by-play of the Jets-Titans game. He then smoothly shifted to doing play-by-play for the Vikings-49ers game.

One of those unique broadcasting instances that can only occur on live TV happened.

During his "Don't @ Me" show on OutKick, Harlan admitted that he was uncertain about how the viral moment was being presented on social media.

"When we send the update to the studio in New York, I have about 10 seconds to see the substitutions after the play, and I can start to figure out who's in the game, what's the situation, and what's going on. I don't pay attention to those things and only listen to the last sentence the guy says, whether it's Nate Burleson, James Brown, Bill Cowher, or whoever it is, and we try to play off it."

When Harlan discovered technical issues with the studio, he learned that he had thrown the problem to Burleson and was going through his notes.

"I'm not entirely sure what I said, but my daughters, who keep track of such matters, said it sparked a lot of discussion. I'll need to review it at some point, but it was one of those bizarre events that unfolded unexpectedly."
