In the divisional round victory over the Ravens, the Bills' Josh Allen achieved 2 touchdowns and forced 3 turnovers.
The Chiefs will face bills in the AFC title game.
The "frozen tundra" at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin is typically used by NFL fans to describe the conditions there. However, on Sunday night, the same phrase could have been applied to the field at Highmark Stadium during the playoff game between the Buffalo Bills and Baltimore Ravens.
In Orchard Park, New York, the temperature dropped to approximately 16 degrees, causing light snow to fall onto the field. This made the ball slippery and more difficult to catch, while also intensifying the pain of tackles.
In the fourth quarter, the Bills took a 27-25 lead over their opponents with two Tyler Bass field goals, ultimately winning the game.
Late in the game, the Ravens experienced the harshest conditions.
With 8:50 remaining in the game, Lamar Jackson connected with Mark Andrews for a 16-yard completion. However, Terrel Bernard of the Bills linebackers punched the ball out of Andrews' hands, resulting in a fumble recovery by Buffalo. This was one of three turnovers committed by Baltimore.
It was far from over.
The Ravens, led by Jackson, could still tie the game with an eight-play, 88-yard drive that resulted in a 24-yard touchdown pass to Isiah Likely. The Ravens were currently trailing by two points.
The Bills breathed a sigh of relief and closed the game out after Baltimore failed to convert the 2-point attempt.
Josh Allen had two rushing touchdowns and was 16 out of 22 while passing with 127 yards in the game.
For the Ravens, their magical season came to an end.
Jackson had 254 passing yards, two touchdown passes, and an interception, going 18-of-25. Meanwhile, the Bills' defense restricted Derrick Henry to 84 rushing yards, which was his lowest total since Dec. 15 against the New York Giants.
The Bills will face the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship, with a Super Bowl LIX berth at stake. The teams met on Nov. 17, with Buffalo emerging victorious, 30-21.
Buffalo hasn't won a Super Bowl since the 1993 season. They have never won a Super Bowl. They lost to the Chiefs in their last conference championship game in the 2020 season.
