Hakeem Jeffries warns that the trans athletes ban bill will put girls at risk, but fails to provide any evidence or explanation for his claim.
A spokesperson from Jeffries' office stated to Planet Chronicle Digital that "The post speaks for itself."
Planet Chronicle Digital requested comment from Jeffries' office on how the law would accomplish this, but they have not provided a substantial explanation.
The Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act has been reintroduced in the Senate by Sen. Tommy Tuberville, R-Ala., and in the House by Rep. Greg Steube, R-Fla., and will be voted on Tuesday.
At birth, an individual's reproductive biology and genetics determine their sex under the bill.
The Child Predator Empowerment Act is not only opposed by Jeffries, but also by other prominent Democrats.
During a press conference on Tuesday, Rep. Pete Aguilar, D-Calif., opposed the bill and warned that the absence of an age limit for girls' sports could result in inspections and people raising concerns.
"The legislation is most offensive because it fails to differentiate between girls' sports at different ages. It does not take into account whether you are aiming for an Olympic athlete, an NCAA player, a state-regulated high school sports player, or simply a 4- or 5-year-old playing soccer in your neighborhood," Aguilar stated.

Jeffries and Aguilar have previously co-sponsored legislation that would permit trans athletes to participate in women's and girls' sports, including the Equality Act.
The bill aims to modify federal education laws to safeguard students from discrimination based on sex, including gender identity and sex characteristics, and to ensure that students have the right to participate in sports on teams and in programs that correspond to their gender identity.
The Democrats' push to allow trans individuals to participate in women's sports has become a vulnerability for the party during the recent election cycle.
The CWA legislative action committee's national exit poll revealed that 70% of moderate voters consider the issue of "Donald Trump's opposition to transgender boys and men playing girls' and women's sports and using girls' and women's bathrooms" significant to them.
While 6% considered it the most crucial issue, 44% deemed it "very important."
In June, a survey by NORC at the University of Chicago asked respondents whether transgender athletes should be allowed to compete in sports leagues that match their preferred gender identity rather than their biological sex.
Sixty-five percent of respondents said that adult transgender female athletes should never or rarely be allowed to compete on women's sports teams. When asked specifically about this issue, 69% of those polled opposed it.
Several Democrats have publicly withdrawn their support for trans inclusion, including Representatives Seth Moulton, Colin Allred, and Tom Suozzi.
In December, the Education Department under Biden was forced to withdraw a proposed rule that would have prohibited states from enforcing trans inclusion.
