In Southern California, where wildfires continue to wreak havoc, NFL legend Tom Brady is actively contributing to the relief efforts.
Gopuff collaborated with Brady to distribute $250,000 worth of free water to individuals affected by the wildfires.
The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power is still issuing warnings about contaminated water in the area resulting from fire-related toxins in the tap water.
Gopuff, with thousands of employees, over 160 BevMo! Stores, and a corporate office in California, offers customers the option to use the code "CAStrong" at checkout for free, fresh still water delivery up to $10.
The company is currently providing a 30% discount on essentials such as food, batteries, and electrolytes, in addition to having donated $150,000 worth of essentials last week.
Gopuff co-founder and co-CEO Yakir Gola stated that their hearts are with the thousands of people affected by the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles. He expressed gratitude for the first responders' efforts to keep communities safe and for the team leaders' tireless work to support employees in the area.
"We have partnered with Tom Brady to give away $250K worth of water to those in the LA area and will continue to support first responders and anyone impacted locally."
In June 2024, Brady joined Gopuff in a strategic partnership that spanned multiple years. He stated that he would be actively involved in the company's operations as the instant commerce leader.

Gov. Gavin Newsom has invited President-elect Donald Trump to visit California amid the wildfires and budget disputes. The governor has faced criticism for approving a budget that reduced firefighting and prevention funding by $100 million.
On Sunday, Newsom issued an executive order to streamline the process of rebuilding homes and businesses by removing certain regulatory obstacles.
