Eli Manning reveals his dad's amusing texting behavior in a social media post.
X received a text message from Eli's dad.
On Saturday, Eli Manning, the former New York Giants quarterback, posted a text he received from his father, Archie Manning, on social media.
Archie informed Eli that Riley Leonard and Will Howard were roommates at the Manning Passing Academy last summer.
Eli captioned his post highlighting his Dad’s funny texting habit.
"I'm glad my Dad writes his name after sending me texts. – Eli," Manning posted to X.
Manning revealed his dad's text habits while sharing Archie's anecdote about the upcoming national championship game.
On Friday, Archie's grandson, Arch Manning, was defeated by Will Howard's Buckeyes in the College Football Playoff semifinal.
The Longhorns' comeback attempt was thwarted by defensive end Jack Sawyer, who stripped Quinn Ewers and picked up the fumble for an 83-yard touchdown, sealing the game in favor of the Buckeyes.
In the second quarter, Arch ran for eight yards on one attempt, converting on fourth down, but he did not see any further action in the loss.
If Quinn Ewers goes to the NFL, Manning may become the starting quarterback for the Longhorns next season.
Penn State was defeated 27-24 by Leonard and Notre Dame in a thrilling fourth quarter.
The Manning Passing Academy has clearly helped both Leonard and Howard.
In the win, Leonard threw two interceptions but still managed to defeat Penn State with his impressive performance. He threw for 235 yards and a touchdown, and also rushed the ball for 35 yards and a touchdown.
In the win, Howard threw for 289 yards with a touchdown and an interception for Ohio State, including a big fourth down conversion on a quarterback run in the fourth quarter.
On January 20th, at 7:30 p.m. ET, two roommates from the Manning Passing Academy will compete against each other.
