During a radio interview, Dan Campbell uses inappropriate language while discussing the Lions' recent injuries.
Last season, the Lions were coached by Campbell and reached the NFC championship game.
The Lions, led by Dan Campbell, made a valiant effort to come back against the Bills on Sunday. However, Josh Allen, the NFL MVP candidate, was too much for the Lions to overcome as he scored four touchdowns in the game.
The Lions' 48-42 loss to the Bills was their second defeat of the season, but it did not remove them from the top spot in the NFC. The Lions and Eagles are currently tied for first place in the NFC with a 12-2 record as they head into Week 16.
The Lions did not achieve 12 wins without facing their share of injuries.
During Sunday's game, several Lions players sustained injuries that appeared to be serious. Campbell spoke about the team's struggles during his regular radio show on Detroit's 97.1 The Ticket. At one point, Campbell used profanity while expressing his emotions.
Campbell stated, "We all get accustomed to eating filet, and life is good. However, we often forget what it was like to eat molded bread when we had nothing. It was sufficient, but we need to be reminded of our past struggles to truly appreciate our current situation. We will do that."
"We got a bad taste in our mouth. We got kicked around the other day. We lost a few guys. And you know what? It was exactly what we needed. This was exactly what we needed."
Campbell stated that he is indifferent to the method of victory, as long as his team has more points than their opponents at the end of the game.
Campbell stated, "I don't care if we win by one point for the rest of the year, as long as we do, I'll be happy. We had 50 yards of total offense and won by one? You'll see smiles on my face, I promise."
"If the situation were reversed, we would concede 700 yards and win by one point, resulting in a grin from ear to ear. I guarantee it. We will find a solution and make it happen."
In October, Aidan Hutchinson, the star defensive lineman of the Lions, suffered a fracture in his left tibia and fibula. Although the injury may keep him out of the game for the rest of the regular season, he could potentially return to action in February if the Lions make it to the Super Bowl for the first time in their history.
"Campbell acknowledged that they will miss the individual who helped them reach their current position and that the rest of them owe it to him to continue progressing."
Defensive lineman Alim McNeill, defensive backs Carlton Davis and Khalil Dorsey, and running back David Montgomery will miss the rest of the season due to injuries.
The Chicago Bears host the Lions Dec. 22.
