Drake Maye, a 22-year-old rookie for the Patriots, reveals his engagement to his 9-year girlfriend.
Maye expressed her love for living life with someone on Instagram.
Drake Maye is ending his rookie season with a ring.
The quarterback, who is 22 years old, revealed on his Instagram account that he is now engaged to Ann Hudson.
"I cherish every moment spent with you. I eagerly anticipate our upcoming wedding," Maye wrote in his post.
The couple celebrated their special day on a beach, with only an umbrella, roses, and a blanket for company.
They celebrated their nine-year dating anniversary this past October, both of whom attended the University of North Carolina.
Maye was chosen by the New England Patriots with the third overall pick, but initially struggled, but improved as he gained more playing time on the field.
In his 12 starts as the starter, he amassed 2,276 passing yards on a 66.6 completion percentage, with 15 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. Additionally, he gained 421 yards on the ground and scored two rushing touchdowns.
Not only Maye, but other quarterbacks in the AFC East have also become active recently.
Hailie Steinfeld was given a ring by Josh Allen of the Buffalo Bills.
The firing of first-year head coach Jerod Mayo by the New England Patriots after their season finale has been heavily criticized by ex-Patriots.
They hired Mike Vrabel, who was available last offseason, as their new coach earlier this week.
Maye can potentially earn his second ring with Vrabel's help, as they aim for a Super Bowl victory.
