Demarcus Robinson, a star receiver for the Rams, was charged with DUI just days before the team's playoff game.
Over 100 mph was reportedly the speed at which Robinson was driving, according to police.
Demarcus Robinson, a Los Angeles Rams receiver, has been charged with drunken driving following a November arrest. This news emerges just before the team's playoff game against the Minnesota Vikings on Monday night.
The Los Angeles City Attorney's office confirmed to TMZ Sports that Robinson was recently charged with one misdemeanor count of driving under the influence of alcohol following his arrest on November 25.
A white Dodge sedan was spotted by California Highway Patrol officers traveling over 100 miles per hour near the Rams' training complex in Woodland Hills at approximately 5:10 a.m., according to a news release.
The veteran wideout was arrested on suspicion of DUI after law enforcement officials observed objective signs and symptoms of alcohol impairment during a traffic stop. He was then cited and released to a responsible party.
The loss to the Philadelphia Eagles at home led to the Rams' arrest just hours later.
Robinson apologized after the news broke back in November.
"He stated that he did not want to bring any negative energy or a particular type of light to the team, as it was not natural for him and did not align with his nature or usual behavior."
At the time of the incident, McVay stated that Robinson's decision was poor, but he clarified that it did not define his character as a person.
He was not suspended by the team after his arrest.
According to TMZ Sports, Robinson is due back in court in February.
The Rams will journey to Arizona on Friday for their Monday game at State Farm Stadium, which was moved due to Southern California wildfires.
