Deion Sanders coaching the Cowboys is a possibility, according to college football star Ashton Jeanty.
There have been rumors that Sanders is considering the Cowboys' job.
It is predicted that Ashton Jeanty, a standout college football player, will be the first running back selected in the upcoming NFL Draft in the spring.
The destination of running back Jeanty will be the main concern. Some mock drafts have suggested that he will join the Dallas Cowboys, which he stated earlier this month would be a dream come true for him, as he played high school football in Frisco, Texas.
Over the past week, the Cowboys have been in the limelight due to their recent separation from Mike McCarthy as head coach and speculations about Deion Sanders possibly leaving Colorado to take over as their new coach.
Planet Chronicle Digital reported that Jeanty expressed interest in playing for Sanders in Dallas.
"Jeanty stated, "I believe Coach Prime excels at providing opportunities and utilizing players to their full potential, similar to Travis Hunter's ability to play both ways. Most coaches wouldn't do that, but I think he would thrive in the position.""
Jeanty, speaking to Planet Chronicle Digital about his partnership with SAXX, acknowledged Sanders' religious beliefs.
"It is evident that I am a man of faith. He, too, is a man of faith. The fact that my previous head coach was a man of faith is a positive aspect. Additionally, it is clear that he has a strong bond with his players both on and off the field."
He revealed to NBC Dallas-Fort Worth that he has visited some of the Cowboys' facilities personally.
He expressed his desire to play for the Cowboys, stating that it would be a dream come true. Although he had previously played in their practice stadium and all of his high school home games there, including his freshman year when they came down for the Frisco Bowl and practiced there again.
"Honestly, it would feel like I'm at home. I won't say much, but Dallas has always had a great running back, and when they have a good one, they play better."
If Jeanty isn't picked in the first round, Dallas may be the only team to take a running back early.
In his final season in the collegiate ranks, Hunter was the Heisman Trophy winner while Jeanty finished as the runner-up. Jeanty had a remarkable performance, rushing for 2,601 yards and 29 touchdowns for the Broncos.
Boise State made the College Football Playoff but were ousted in the quarterfinals.
