Carson Beck announces next school with succinct 2-word message after transferring from Georgia.
Miami basketball star, Hanna Cavinder, is Beck's girlfriend.
Carson Beck's time in the transfer portal didn't last long.
The Georgia quarterback, who previously played in the SEC, entered the portal on Thursday, about a month after sustaining an elbow injury during the SEC championship game.
Notre Dame defeated the Bulldogs in the quarterfinals, despite Stockton's efforts as the backup gunner.
Beck is already committed to his next stop and is soon to become a Hurricane.
"He wrote "Go Canes" in an Instagram post featuring a Miami uniform and the words "Committed" and "305 Bound.""
Hanna Cavinder and her twin sister, Haley, are the star players for Miami's women's basketball team, while Haley is also in a relationship with Dallas Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson.
The Canes were initially informed that the Cavinders were forgoing their final year of eligibility, with Hanna concluding her playing career and Haley announcing her intention to play at TCU. However, they both decided to return to the Canes.
This week, Beck entered the transfer portal after originally declaring for the NFL Draft.
The NFL Draft is gaining Cam Ward, the FBS touchdown leader from Miamia, as a top contender for the first pick.
In his college career, Beck played for Georgia for five seasons, serving as the Bulldogs' primary starter in the last two. During this time, he completed 68% of his passes for a total of 7,912 yards, 58 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions. Beck appeared in a total of 39 games for Georgia, with 27 of those games occurring in the last two seasons.
Ward, who had initially considered entering the 2024 NFL Draft, ultimately decided to join Miami and went on to break several Miami single-season records this season, including completing 305 passes for 4,313 yards and 39 touchdowns.
