California wildfires: Tim Tebow prays for rain and sends thoughts to locals

On Thursday, Tim Tebow, a former college football star, posted an emotional message on his X account, expressing his prayers and thoughts to those in California who are fighting wildfires.
Homes have been lost and thousands of acres have burned in the Los Angeles area.
I've been watching the news with a heavy heart, as many of you have. Last week, it was the tragedy in New Orleans, and this week, it's the wildfires in California. In times like these, I don't know what else to do but pray, as Tebow wrote on X.
We humbly request, Lord, to bring rain to California. We pray for the safety and bravery of our first responders. We ask You to console those who have suffered loss, including homes and businesses. We implore You to show Your presence to those who are in dire need of hope.
"Remember that you are the same God today as you have always been, with us and for us always."
This week, two sports games scheduled at Crypto.com Arena were postponed due to the wildfires. Additionally, Los Angeles Lakers head coach JJ Redick lost his house after his family evacuated due to the fires.
In the event that Monday night's Vikings-Rams playoff game cannot be played in Englewood, the NFL has a backup plan to move the game to Glendale, Ariz.
In Los Angeles, the last time it rained one-tenth of an inch was on May 5, as reported by the Times.
A clubhouse at a local golf course was burned down and five deaths were reported due to the Eaton fire.
On Wednesday, California Gov. Gavin Newsom and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis both met with President Biden to offer assistance.
On Wednesday, the National Guard was deployed by Newsom to aid in fighting the fires, resulting in the closure of nearly 100 schools in the Los Angeles area.
