Brittany Mahomes makes a surprise appearance in the Chiefs playoff game just days after giving birth.
On Monday, their third child was welcomed into the world by Brittany and Patrick.
Despite avoiding the broadcast camera during the Kansas City Chiefs' victory over the Houston Texans on Saturday night, Brittany Mahomes was present at Arrowhead Stadium for the game.
Just a few days before the AFC playoff game, Mahomes gave birth to her and Patrick's third child, Golden Raye, stunning NFL fans with her appearance.
On Monday, Patrick and his wife announced the birth of their child, and fans who saw Mahomes on the sideline praised her for attending.
Despite being pregnant during the 2024 NFL season, Brittany Mahomes made it to most of the Chiefs' home games at Arrowhead Stadium to cheer on her husband and the team.
Patrick appeared concerned about the timing of the birth as she was due to give birth the week when the Chiefs could have had a playoff game. If Kansas City didn't win the necessary games to secure homefield advantage and a first-round bye in the postseason, Patrick might have missed the birth.
Fortunately, the Chiefs secured their victory over the Steelers on Christmas Day.
Patrick talked about their latest child on Wednesday.
"He stated that he was content with three for the time being, but they may reconsider adding more in the future. His ultimate goal was always three, so they would remain at that number for now and evaluate the need for more later."
Brittany's newborn has joined the family, which already has two children - Bronze and Sterling. Mahomes discussed how the family is coping with the arrival of the newborn, particularly how the other siblings are handling it.
"It's been cool to welcome another baby girl into our family and see how my other kids react to her and having a baby sissy. It's been a lot of fun, and it was cool that football was on TV when I was in the hospital, so I got to watch a little bit. Brittany was kind enough to let us watch football as she was getting ready to give birth to our second daughter."
The AFC Championship Game will feature the Chiefs at home, with either the Buffalo Bills or Baltimore Ravens as their opponents.
