Brittany Mahomes is unapologetic and doesn't care about criticism.
Amid a social media firestorm, Mahomes' remarks on the 'WHOOP' podcast were met with controversy.
Brittany Mahomes has been at the center of a social media uproar after she liked a Donald Trump post on Instagram featuring the "2024 GOP platform" recently.
If it seems like Mahomes has been exuding a newfound confidence on social media, it's because she has been defending herself with cryptic messages and liking comments of support amid the backlash she's received.
She has revealed that she relies on her three-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback husband to cope with the media frenzy that has come her way.
""Having him beside me and guiding me through it has helped a lot. I think that’s kind of gotten to where we are at now," she said."
The best advice she's received is to ignore the critics.
"He always told me to stop caring about what others think, especially those who don't know me, and social media used to get me down. Now, I don't care what others say about me anymore, and I think he helped me get to this point where I am confident in who I am, our relationship, and our life. So, why should what others say matter at all?"
KC Current co-owner Mahomes, an entrepreneur and swimsuit model, isn't known for being very political on social media.
She hasn't explicitly stated her political stance.
In September 2017, Mahomes tweeted that Trump had "offended waaaay too many people." The tweet in question was unclear, but it coincided with Trump's criticism of NFL players who knelt during the national anthem in protest of racial injustice.
Patrick Mahomes contributed $500 to the NFL Players Association's political action committee, according to Open Secrets. The NFLPA donated $45,000 to Democrats and $35,000 to Republicans, the site reports.
In an interview with Time magazine, the Chiefs quarterback stated that he wouldn't be endorsing any candidate.
"He stated that he did not want to pressure anyone to vote for a specific president, but rather encouraged people to exercise their right to vote and make their own informed decision."
