Perhaps, Erin Routliffe is the only one displeased that robots haven't taken over the world yet.

On Sunday at the Australian Open, in the third round of women's doubles, Routliffe, a tennis pro from New Zealand, and her partner, Dabrowski of Canada, were competing when Routliffe erupted into a brief outburst, believing her opponent's serve had barely touched the net.

During a tiebreak in the first set, a contentious point arose when Beatriz Haddad Maia of Brazil was serving. The chair umpire did not call a let, and the point was awarded to Haddad Maia and her partner, Laura Siegemend.

But Routliffe argued the call.

"Oh my god, we have robots everywhere, but we don't have one for the net? Oh my goodness," she said, challenging the umpire's decision.

Although she objected, the call remained. Nevertheless, Routliffe and Dabrowski won the next point and eventually the match, moving on to a semifinal match on Thursday.

Following the viral spread of a clip of Routliffe's outburst on social media, she acknowledged that her behavior may have been "dramatic," but maintained her stance.

"I feel like I have a point, but why so dramatic?" she wrote in a X post.
