After one season, the Chargers dismiss general manager Tom Telesco and embark on a complete overhaul of their staff.
Antonio Pierce was let go as head coach on Tuesday by the team.
In Las Vegas, a total overhaul is underway just two days after the Raiders released Antonio Pierce.
The Raiders let go of general manager Tom Tedesco following his first season with the team.
The team expressed gratitude for Tom's contributions in establishing a foundation for the future and wished him and his family well, according to a statement.
On Monday, the day between Las Vegas' season finale and Telesco's firing, Telesco was informed that a conversation with owner Mark Davis was imminent.
Reports emerged a day after speculation that Tom Brady, who acquired a 5% stake in the team last season, would play a significant part in selecting the team's next head coach. It is said that he even contacted Bill Belichick, who recently joined the University of North Carolina.
In 2023, Telesco joined the Raiders, who had already lost many players, and was tasked with managing Gardner Minshew and Aidan O'Connell as his quarterbacks after letting go of Jimmy Garoppolo following a tumultuous season.
Telesco's decision to select Georgia tight end Brock Bowers with the 13th pick was a smart move, as Bowers' 112 receptions this season are the most by a rookie in NFL history.
Before becoming a Raider, Telesco spent 11 seasons with the Chargers in San Diego and Los Angeles.
The NFL Draft is approaching, and the Raiders are among three teams searching for a new general manager, alongside the New York Jets and Tennessee Titans. The Raiders hold the sixth pick in the draft, following the Titans, Browns, Giants, Patriots, and Jaguars.
