The Knicks have demonstrated potential in the early months of the 2024-25 season, with their recent victory over the Hawks bringing their record to 28-18.

On Tuesday, the Nets will host the Knicks in a cross-city matchup at Brooklyn. NBA All-Star Jalen Brunson has been outstanding this season, averaging 26.2 points and 7.4 assists per game.

Michael Rapaport, a native of New York City and a self-proclaimed Knicks fan, believes that adding a player of significant size could strengthen the team's roster.

Barron Trump, 18, was declared the "star" of Monday's presidential inauguration by Rapaport before urging the Knicks to consider signing the teen to a 10-day contract.

Rapaport stated in a video on his social media platform that the highlight of the inauguration 2025 was his friend "big body Barron Trump."

"While 'big body' stood in the back, hulking, I contemplated signing him to a 10-day contract to evaluate his skills. With Mitch Robison unlikely to return soon, we need another big man in the post. He seems to have a gentle touch."

Despite being listed as 7 feet and 240 pounds, Robinson has not played in any games this season due to an ankle injury. Nevertheless, the Knicks remain optimistic that the center will be able to make his debut in February.

Barron Trump, President Trump's youngest son, was the first first son to reside in the White House since John F. Kennedy Jr. in 1961 when he was 10 years old.

Barron, who was 11 in March 2017, lived at Trump Tower in New York and attended Columbia Grammar and Preparatory School on the Upper West Side. In 2019, when Barron was 13, his family permanently moved to Mar-a-Lago. That year, Trump stated that he would have difficulty permitting his son to play football.

"Trump stated that he dislikes the reports about football, as he believes it is a dangerous sport and very challenging. He added that he thought the equipment would improve, but while the helmets have gotten better, it hasn't resolved the issue."

In January 2021, when his father left office, Barron Trump was 14 years old.

In May, Barron Trump graduated from Oxbridge Academy in West Palm Beach and enrolled at New York University in the fall of 2024. He cast his first vote for his father in Florida in November.

During the 2023-24 regular season, the Knicks won 50 games, but were later eliminated by the Indiana Pacers in the Eastern Conference semifinals.
