According to multiple reports, Robert Kraft's son, Josh, has decided to run for mayor of Boston.
No public comment from Kraft regarding the reports that an announcement is expected next month.
In 2021, Michelle Wu was elected as the mayor of the city, defeating Annissa Essaibi George in the election. Wu received 64.0% of the vote, while George earned 35.6%. Wu succeeded Marty Walsh, who had been the city's mayor for the past two terms.
While former mayor Raymond's son Ed Flynn has opted not to run for the Boston City Council presidency, Jorge Mendoza-Iturralde has announced his intention to run.
The president of the organization's foundation and the head of the family's philanthropic initiatives, Kraft, has been working at the city's Boys & Girls Club for 30 years.
In 1994, Robert purchased the Patriots and transformed the team into one of the greatest dynasties in sports history. Under his leadership, the team has made it to 10 Super Bowls, with six of those being victories.
