Aaron Rodgers discusses his thoughts on retirement speculation during the Jets' poor performance.
In his first full season with the Jets, Rodgers has a record of 3-7.
Despite not going as planned in his first two seasons in New York, Aaron Rodgers remains determined to play again next season.
On Wednesday, after a devastating loss to the Arizona Cardinals, Rodgers stated that despite the Jets' 3-7 record, his desire to continue playing beyond this season remains unchanged.
"No, not for the negative."
Rodgers, who turns 41 next month, replied, "I think so, yeah," when asked if he wants to play next year.
The worst start of his 20-year career in the NFL has sparked speculation about Rodgers' future in the league.
Despite a coaching staff shakeup, fans are still waiting.
Rodgers emphasized the importance of consistency in his daily routine, stating, "You must maintain the same energy, focus, and preparation every day to set the standard."
"Dipping your head gives permission for others to follow suit, so it's crucial to check your attitude and energy daily before entering the building. This requires a mental shift, leaving behind any frustration or disappointment and focusing on positivity, being a part of the solution, and carrying yourself appropriately."
Next season, Rodgers will have one year remaining on his contract, which includes $2.5 million in non-guaranteed base salary and $21 million in bonuses, resulting in a cap hit of $23.5 million.
