Patrick Mahomes reveals that Taylor Swift is writing plays for the Kansas City Chiefs.
During the 2023-2024 NFL season, Taylor Swift and Kansas City Chiefs' tight end Travis Kelce made their relationship public.
Move over Andy Reid and Matthew Nagy. Taylor Swift has your number.
Swift has become a beloved member of the Chiefs Kingdom, often attending both home and away games with her boyfriend, Travis Kelce. As the NFL season approaches, it seems that Swift is taking on a more significant role than simply being a supportive girlfriend.
In a recent interview, Patrick Mahomes, the quarterback of the reigning Super Bowl champions, talked about the influence Swift had on the football world, particularly on his team.
"Mahomes stated in an interview with Chris Simms on NBC that he believes it's been great to see girls and women who have fully embraced watching football. He also mentioned how being a girl dad has been a cool experience for him, as he enjoys spending time with his daughters watching the sport."
Mahomes and his wife, Brittany, share daughter Sterling Skye, 3, with their longtime love and Swift's new pal, while also being parents to a son, Patrick ‘Bronze’ Lavon III, nearly two.
"Meeting Taylor, I realized how genuine and cool she is. That's been special to me. Like you said, she's the most famous person in the world," Mahomes continued.
Mahomes stated, "She's really interested in football and asks great questions. She's already drawing up plays, so we might have to put one in."
The singer, who grew up in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania, and was a Philadelphia Eagles fan with her father, Scott Swift, recently appeared to have her dad switch his loyalty to the Kansas City Chiefs.
In an interview with TIME last year, Swift discussed the criticism she faced after attending several Kelce games.
"Photographers at the games are able to capture images of athletes in their suites, even though there is a camera half a mile away, and the athletes have no idea when they are being filmed or how many times they are being shown on broadcast."
Swift stated that his role is solely to support Travis and he is unaware of whether he is being shown too much, potentially offending a few dads, Brad and Chad.
Swift, who is currently on a hiatus from her international Eras Tour, may or may not appear at the Chiefs' home opener against the Baltimore Ravens this Thursday. No comment from her representative was immediately obtained.
