Justin Timberlake appeared in court Friday in connection to his June DWI arrest.

The former *NSYNC member pleaded guilty to a lesser charge and received community service, 25-40 hours.

Before the hearing, Timberlake struck a plea agreement with prosecutors, admitting guilt to a lesser charge of "driving while ability impaired." The details of the agreement were not disclosed, but a source close to the deal revealed that Timberlake will face a fine of $300 to $500 and a 90-day license suspension.

According to documents obtained by Planet Chronicle Digital, the arresting officer claimed that Timberlake "failed all standardized field sobriety tests" when he was pulled over by authorities on June 18.

According to the complaint, Timberlake had "bloodshot and glossy" eyes, a "strong odor of an alcoholic beverage was emanating from his breath," and he was "unable to divide attention." Additionally, the "Cry Me A River" singer exhibited "slowed speech" and was "unsteady afoot."

Ed Burke Jr., Timberlake's lawyer, previously stated that the police made "significant errors" during the musician's June arrest.

"Burke stated in a Planet Chronicle Digital interview that the key point to understand in this case is that Justin was not under the influence and should not have been arrested for DWI. The police made several significant errors in this case, and the district attorney attempted to correct one of them in court. However, this is only one of the many mistakes made by the police. Sometimes, law enforcement officials make mistakes, and this case is just one such instance."

The district attorney's office confirmed to Planet Chronicle Digital that Timberlake was originally charged with one count of driving while intoxicated, as well as citations for failure to keep right and failure to stop at a stop sign.

According to the documents, the pop star informed the arresting officer that he had one martini and was heading home with some friends. However, after being arrested and brought to an East Hampton police station, he declined to take a breath test, as stated in the court papers. The papers also indicated that his profession is "professional" and he is "self-employed."

Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) called out Timberlake's plea deal.

"A MADD spokesperson stated to Planet Chronicle Digital that the organization does not support plea deals in cases involving impaired driving, as they believe justice should be fully served for such a serious crime. The spokesperson emphasized that driving while impaired is a dangerous and reckless choice that puts lives at risk, and the consequences should reflect the gravity of that decision. Plea deals, according to the spokesperson, diminish the severity of impaired driving, which is a violent crime that kills and injures thousands of people every year."

"MADD has requested that Mr. Timberlake use his platform to raise awareness about the dangers of impaired driving and help prevent this crime. Although it has been reported that Mr. Timberlake will produce a PSA with MADD, we have not been formally contacted by his representatives. MADD will continue to advocate for justice and accountability in every impaired driving case and hope that Mr. Timberlake's future decisions reflect the seriousness of this issue and contribute meaningfully to our cause."

"The Forget The World Tomorrow Tour" stop in Chicago saw Timberlake address his drunk driving arrest days after it occurred.

"The 10-time Grammy winner, who was arrested, told fans at the United Center that it had been a tough week. Despite his difficult times, he said, "I know I'm hard to love sometimes, but you keep loving me right back.""

Earlier this year, the "Bye Bye Bye" singer faced criticism from Britney Spears, who wrote about their relationship in her memoir. Spears claimed that the former couple had an abortion and accused Timberlake of using a Spears look-a-like in his infamous "Cry Me A River" music video.

The media portrayed Spears as a "harlot who'd shattered the dreams of America's beloved celebrity."

After Spears' performance, Timberlake appeared on stage and seemed to address her, saying, "I'd like to take this opportunity to apologize to absolutely nobody."
