The cause of death for 'ALF' child star Benji Gregory has been disclosed.
Three months ago, Gregory died from environmental heat exposure while suffering from hepatic cirrhosis.
The cause of death for "ALF" star Benji Gregory was recently disclosed, three months after his death at the age of 46.
Gregory, discovered deceased in his car in Peoria, Arizona on June 13, died from "environmental heat exposure in the context of hepatic cirrhosis," as stated by the Maricopa County Office of the Medical Examiner.
The medical examiner's report concluded that the manner of death was an accident.
In July, Max Pfaffinger, Gregory's former brother-in-law, confirmed the actor's passing to Planet Chronicle Digital. Additionally, Gregory's service dog, Hans, was discovered deceased in the vehicle.
Rebecca Hertzberg-Pfaffinger announced Gregory's death in a July 10 Facebook post.
Gregory's untimely loss has left my family devastated, as evidenced by the photos shared alongside my heartfelt message.
Although I'm crying while going through Ben's things, I can't help but laugh at the little videos and notes he left behind.
"On June 13, my brother Ben and his service dog Hans were discovered dead in his car. It is believed that he went there on the evening of the 12th to deposit residuals but never got out of the car. He likely fell asleep and died from vehicular heatstroke."
Gregory, born on May 26, 1978, in Los Angeles, began his TV career at a young age. He appeared on shows such as "The A-Team," "T.J. Hooker," "Punky Brewster," "The Twilight Zone," and more.
During the years 1986 to 1990, Gregory was most recognized for portraying Brian Tanner on the successful sitcom "ALF."
In 1993, Gregory voiced Edgar the Mole in the animated feature "Once Upon a Forest," which appears to be his final known credit.
Gregory exited the entertainment industry in the early 2000s and joined the U.S. Navy. He was honorably discharged in 2005.
